Sin List

Sin List

Dear Brethren,

While Christians are never sinless, we should be sinning less and less. How is this accomplished? First it is by praying and asking the Lord to open our eyes to the sins in our lives and to give us the strength to overcome these sins.

With this being Easter weekend I think it would be the most suitable time to examine ourselves and our walk.

When is the last time you took a long hard look at yourself and examined the sin in your life? Over the course of this weekend I have been doing a sin inventory on myself. I have prayed and been looking at the top three areas I find myself most vulnerable to falling and failing in.

Each person has certain areas that are an Achilles heel for them. The thing is to examine and find and know where your weakest points are. For me, this has been a bit of a challenge as I have not wanted to admit mine.

So I encourage each reader to do their own sin inventory and spend some time in solitude prayer with the Lord. Pray for open eyes and a renewed heart, to be a vessel fit for Holy and honorable use.

May the Lord keep and sustain you.

Christian Outcasts

Everything you ever wanted or needed to know about Street Evangelism, but never thought or wanted to ask.

When you read or hear the term "Street Preaching or Street Evangelism" what do you picture? Perhaps, it's a man screaming at some woman as she walks by calling her some derogatory name. Maybe it's a group like Westboro  Baptist Church. Neither represent what Biblical Street Preaching is.

Street Preaching or Street Evangelism is as old as the Bible itself. Street preaching has never been popular, either inside or outside the church. Open-air preaching and street evangelism has never been culturally relevant or socially acceptable.  But street preaching is biblical.

Below are articles that explain what street evangelism in its various forms is, and what it is not. You will find articles that will equip and encourage you to engage in street evangelism and open-air preaching. You will also find a series of street preaching tips. And you will find articles dealing with issues regarding street preaching and providing answers for those issues.

Read through these articles and learn the truth about this area of Evangelism. CARM on Street Preaching

Gay Bible: Homophobic or Harmful

When it comes to the issue of Homosexuality i.e. Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender are you homophobic or justified in your reasons for denouncing this lifestyle?

First, what is the definition of homophobic? According to Merriam-Webster’s Dictionary the term homophobia means this: irrational fear of, aversion to, or discrimination against homosexuality or homosexuals. It is this definition we will draw our analysis from.

This issue, like many issues in our society today, carries many opinions and thoughts from both Christian and Non-Christians alike. The basis for the validity of each person’s stance pulls from a plethora of beliefs. The world pulls from psychology, trends and the fad of the day. The True Christian bases everything on the Word of God known as the Bible.

Now it is evident that even those who embrace living a life of being gay and homosexual know that God does exist. Yet, because of their love of sin and debauchery they have tried to alter the Word of God and twist and pervert it to fit into their own agenda.

From the research at CARM and their article titled Queen James Bible, The Gay Bible will substantiate what I am stating in this post.

The Queen James Bible, also known as the Gay Bible, is a new assault on biblical orthodoxy and sexual purity.  This is to be expected in a world of moral relativism.  In it, the 1769 King James Bible has been reproduced with only a very few select verses altered - the ones that relate to homosexuality.  Those verses are listed below and analyzed.  I hope you will see that the Queen James Bible is a perversion of the original text and is the result of obvious prejudices against the original Hebrew and Greek texts in order to make homosexual practices appear acceptable.

The editors of the Gay Bible have stated the following:

"Most English Bible translations that actively condemn homosexuality have based themselves on the King James Version and have erroneously adapted its words to support their own agenda. We wanted to return to the clean source and start there."

I'm glad they acknowledge that most translations condemn homosexuality.  But, the anonymous editors of the QJV changed the translations, reinterpreted them, and made them say the opposite of what the original languages state. It says on page one of the QJV:  "The Queen James Bible is based on The King James Bible, edited to prevent homophobic misinterpretation."  Edit they did; translate they did not.

This is a modern day attempt at curing the so called “prejudice” that exisst among any who do not go along with what the world deems as OK. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 16:2 “All the ways of a man are clean in his own sight, But the LORD weighs the motives.” (NASB) This also includes the way man tries to justify his or her own wants and lustful desires. In a world that teaches “If it feels good do it.” They not only embrace this ungodly lifestyle but try to get others to as well. This is part of the world’s aversion therapy to the True Word of God. In a world that once denounced the act of gay behavior and looked upon it as it truly is a shameful act that needs to be spoken against. They now teach that it is the Christian who should be disliked, is antisocial and noxious.

You will be seen as homophobic by the world if you are taking a True Biblical stance on the issue of people being gay. However, if you are taking and standing with the Word of God, then yes, you are justified in denouncing this Lifestyle and the abomination The Queen James Bible.

I ask you, be tolerant as you claim you are tolerant. Read the following: Jesus Saves and then ask yourself, “If I died 6 minutes from now, would I go to Heaven or Hell?”

Empathy and Newtown Shooting

What is truly an expression of a lack of empathy is the actions of some of the media. I have watched some of the coverage on news channels and have seen some of the pictures that reporters posted. One would think that at a time of such a tragedy, there would be a little more compassion and sympathy on the part of media covering the events.
It sickens me to see a microphone shoved in the face of a crying man while cradling his children. It sickens me to see a woman trying to get her children away from the scene and a reporter, who seems to be in pursuit, trying to get a statement from her. It sickens me to see these children who just underwent such a traumatic experience, having photos snapped of them while being lead out of the school.
These same children while being photographed were at times screaming, crying and in a state of hysteria. How many of these children, after this, have had to deal with a plethora of reporters trying to interview them.
All this epitomizes the truth of man cares not but for his own self interest. If it will benefit them or further their cause, everything is open game. For proof click here:Swarming Vultures

Some of these media outlets are quick to blame everything and everyone for this abominable act. Everyone and everything but the one that is truly at blame.
Man himself.
One reporter stated, "The devil came to Newtown." No he didn't. He's been there all along, just like everywhere else on Earth.

There is but one solution, there is but one thing that will change these types of things from happening. The One True Whole, Gospel of Jesus Christ.
